COPYSHOP unter­sucht Ein­schrei­bun­gen in den Naturbe­griff und zuge­hörige Instru­mente seit den 1980er Jahren. Mit Blick auf die Welt der Out­door-Indus­trie und auf aus­gewählte Kinofilme hin­ter­fragt die Instal­la­tion damit ver­bun­dene Vorstel­lun­gen und Stereo­typen von Natur, die Vorstel­lung des Anderen sowie die mod­erne Mythol­o­gisierung von Natur. Zwis­chen Labor, Werk­statt und lebendi­gem Organ­is­mus set­zt die Arbeit Mate­ri­alien, For­men und frag­men­tierte innere Bilder in Beziehung zueinan­der. Über Entste­hung und Ver­fall, über Abgren­zung und Ein­ver­lei­bung, über Anpas­sung und (hil­flos­es) Kopieren.

COPYSHOP exam­ines inscrip­tions into the con­cept of nature and its instru­ments since the 1980s. Tak­ing a look at the world of the out­door indus­try and at select­ed cin­e­ma pro­duc­tions, the instal­la­tion ques­tions relat­ed con­cep­tions and stereo­types of nature, the con­cep­tion of the oth­er, as well as the mod­ern mythol­o­giza­tion of nature. Between lab­o­ra­to­ry, shop and liv­ing organ­ism, the work relates mate­ri­als, forms and frag­ment­ed inner images to each oth­er. On cre­ation and decay, on delim­i­ta­tion and incor­po­ra­tion, on adap­ta­tion and (help­less) copy­ing.
